Improvement Meme '10-'15

This is a bunch of my art from when i first started dA to now!! I"m not sure anybody'll read but i'll describe stuff anyway.

2010 13 to 14 y/o
This was the year that i first began to draw digitally. Since i was going to pay for photoshop, i used an online program called Sumo Paint. I didn't have a tablet so i drew with a mouse. I mostly drew with pencils and chalks, and i had the almost the bare minimum grasp of lighting, shading, color, or really anything. My first year on dA was rough haha, but i have very nice people comment once in a while, and that helped me keep going.

2011 14 to 15 y/o
I guess in 2011 i pretty much gave up on digital art because i can only find colored pencil drawings! The colored pencils were a great way to learn blending and color usage. I mostly drew things for my class at school, so 2011 wasn't all too productive.

2012 15 to 16 y/o
2012 was when i got my first tablet, so i really began to explore digital art. The first half of the year i used gimp, and the second, i had gotten into SAI. I began to study tons of artists, but mostly Ry-Spirit and Purplekecleon because of their use of color and the style in which they presented their art, though my art style still stayed my own. I began to learn the basics of digital painting, and started getting an eye for what a picture should look like. I spent days planning things out on paper, scanned sketches, and painted on top of them in sai or gimp. This is the year i first started seeing my views go up, things getting commented on, and got into groups to expand my audience.

2013 16 to 17 y/o
2013 was a crazy year for me, but amazing in terms art. All of my art at this point was digital, from then on. I had a lot of time to myself so i spent hours drawing. I began playing with color like Purplekecleon, and also tried out new things like textures and mixing different styles of shading and coloring. I was beginning to feel more confident in my art but i also saw mistakes and problems early on. I was always very impatient to finish a picture.

2014 and 2015 17 to 18 y/o
2014 and 2015 are basically lumped together in my mind. I have a wide range of styles to choose from and each of them adapts and changes with every sketch, painting, and even thought. I'm never able to find a way to keep things constant, but when you see my art, you know it's definitely from me. I've never been focused all that much on anatomy or anything technically correct. I've always centered myself around color and value. Perhaps i'll figure out where i wanna go from here, but for now i'm just happy drawing and learning new things.
